About Us

We are registered and regulated as a Cemetery, the Provincial Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act (FBCSA) as enacted July 1, 2012, by the Provincial Ministry of Consumer Services.  We are a non-profit organization.  Any financial gain is used in promoting and operating this public cemetery.  Annually, the Cemetery files a Registered Charity Information Form in compliance with the requirements of the Canada Revenue Agency. You may find this form by clicking here.

Currently, an eight (8) person Board of Trustees operates the Molesworth Cemetery.  The Trustees, with the help of others, volunteer in taking care of some of the regular maintenance work.

The Board oversee the day to day maintenance and operation of the Cemetery through the efforts of a part-time Manager who can always be reached by phone or e-mail. The Manager supervises the opening or closing of graves, assures the safety of people attending a funeral, and responds to questions from regulators and the public.  Trustees may also serve as project and committee leaders or help in raising funds for project work.
